Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. Is the 3-year age relaxation applicable to General Category candidates?

Yes. The Uttar Pradesh government has granted a one-time 3-year age relaxation to all candidates, including General (Unreserved) and EWS categories. The new upper age limit for General Males is 25 years and for General Females is 28 years.

2. What is the last date to apply for UP Police Constable 2025?

The last date to submit the online application and pay the fee is January 30, 2026. No applications will be accepted after this date.

3. Can I apply using my mobile phone?

While possible, it is highly recommended to use a Desktop or Laptop. Mobile browsers often cause layout issues or payment failures. If you must use a mobile, use the "Desktop Mode" in Chrome.

4. I am from another state (e.g., Bihar/MP). Can I apply?

Yes, candidates from other states can apply. However, they will be treated as General (Unreserved) candidates and will not get the benefit of caste-based reservation (SC/ST/OBC), though they will get the 3-year general age relaxation.

5. What documents are needed for upload?

You need your 10th and 12th mark sheets, a scanned passport-size photo, a scanned signature, and (if you are a UP resident claiming reservation) your Domicile Certificate and Caste Certificate.

6. Is there a correction window for mistakes in the form?

Yes, the board typically opens a correction window for 2-3 days after the last date (tentatively in early February 2026). However, you should try to fill the form correctly now to avoid rejection.

7. How many vacancies are there for females?

There are specific vacancies for females: 2,282 in the Women Battalion and a portion of the 10,469 Civil Police posts (usually 20% horizontal reservation).

8. Is the exam online or offline?

The UP Police Constable exam is traditionally an Offline (OMR-based) written examination.

9. My payment was deducted, but the form says 'Not Submitted'. What to do?

Wait for 24 hours for the payment status to update. Do not pay immediately again. If it still fails, use the "Verify Payment" option on the dashboard or contact the helpline.
